Vest Agder Open Air Museum
Instructions
At the open-air museum on Kongsgård, you can visit nearly 40 different houses. These are older wooden buildings rescued from sanitation and moved here from Kvadraturen in Kristiansand and two farmsteads, one from Setesdal and one from Eiken in Vest-Agder. In addition, the public can visit an old schoolhouse from the late 1800s and Tonstadbua with painted biblical motifs and rose-painted ranks inside. On the Setesdal estate, the museum's oldest building, Nomelandsloftet, from 1585 is located. "Minibyen" shows quarters with miniature houses from old Kristiansand. Current exhibitions are shown in the main building.
